The USTA has officially opened its doors to its new National Campus, the new Home of American Tennis, at Lake Nona in Orlando, Florida. The campus will redefine how the USTA delivers on its mission “To Promote and Develop the Growth of Tennis.” The groundbreaking, state-of-the art complex is designed to enhance the sport at every level and create an unparalleled playing, training and educational experience for recreational players, competitive players, coaches and spectators.
Chris Evert helped take US Tennis to new heights. She, along with fellow Americans Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe, helped usher in the greatest era in US Tennis history. Chris won 18 Grand Slam titles among her 157 career tournament wins. She was enshrined in the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1995.
Chris highlights the features of The National Campus which is one of the largest facilities in the world. It is located on 64-acres and divided into dedicated areas that will focus on the complete tennis pathway. The cutting-edge center will feature a total of 100 courts of various surfaces.
