Joe Costanzo, CTO of SignalShare joins Rick this week on the Tech of Sports, but it’s more than just sports. SignalShare handles big events, like the massive upcoming CES show in Las Vegas in January.
SignalShare is a technology platform that allows venues and conference hosts to leverage their wireless networks to gather data-rich insights about crowd and user behavior in real-time. It integrates with venues’ existing communications networks or state-of-the-art wireless networks that SignalShare builds. SignalShare recently announced an expansion at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas that will allow conference and trade show hosts to gather data about attendees who log on to SignalShare’s network. This information can be used to engage and communicate with conference-goers and serve them highly-tailored, location based promotions before, during and after event.
All 2.2 million square feet of the Sands event spaces will be equipped with state-of-the-art wireless networks that are specifically designed to deliver more value and create revenue generation opportunities for the convention center’s event hosts. The full expansion stretches the SignalShare network over 10 million square feet, making this one of the largest Wi-Fi installations in North America.
Wi-Fi is also critical at sporting events now and Joe and I discuss many topics, including SignalShare’s Live-Fi.
