Rick talks some new high tech and healthy food that athletes might be able to see a benefit from.
1 . Fresh Pet Dog Food
According to The Association for Pet Obesity Prevention, over 50% of dogs in the United States are overweight or obese, but by incorporating fresher, less processed foods into your pet’s diet, along with proper exercise, Freshpet and Dr. Katy Nelson believe we can overcome this life-threatening disease.
“Nothing is more important than exercise and a proper diet for you and your pet,” says vet, Dr. Katy Nelson. “The more we can do to help motivate pet parents to spend quality time exercising with their pets benefits all of us. We hope everyone will join us in walking our way towards better health.”
Freshpet has a single-minded mission – to improve the lives of dogs and cats everywhere through the power of fresh, natural food. Packed with vitamins and proteins, Freshpet foods offer fresh meats, poultry, and vegetables farmed locally. The Freshpet Kitchens then thoughtfully prepare these natural ingredients and everyday essentials, cooking them in small batches at lower temperatures to preserve key nutrients. That way, your pet gets the best. Freshpet refrigerated foods and treats are kept cool from the moment they are made until they arrive at Freshpet refrigerators in your local market.
Freshpet foods are available in select mass, grocery, natural food, club, and pet specialty retailers across the United States and Canada. From the care Freshpet takes to source their ingredients and make their food, to the moment it reaches your home, Freshpet’s integrity, transparency and social responsibility are the way they like to run their business. Award Winning Hot Dogs
In 2005 and again in 2013, Abeles & Heymann kosher franks were voted top hot dog, each time beating out large conglomerate producers including Ballpark, Applegate Farms and Hebrew National, among others. In 2005 the St Louis Post Dispatch wrote: “3 stars – Medium red color, nicely chewy, well balanced flavor, not a lot of saltiness; nudged out Ballpark for top spot with bit better overall flavor.” And in 2013, The Forward hailed Abeles & Heymann hot dogs as “spectacular, juicy and meaty with a crisp bite and rich beef flavor.”
Abeles & Heymann offers a broad selection of premium deli in addition to their renowned traditional frankfurters, including: beef fry, kishka, cervelat, knockwurst, and cocktail franks, as well as salami, chipotle franks, corned beef and pastrami. All are certified kosher (OU) and gluten-free.
Abeles & Heymann can be found at Costco and BJ’s, national chain supermarkets such as Stop & Shop, Shoprite, Kroger, Ralph’s, and Acme, as well as independent kosher stores coast-to-coast.
