In the first half of this week’s show we talk to Mohamed Mansour who works on the Chromium project and has developed dozens of popular Chrome extensions. John and Nicholas also go over this week’s Google news including Google Play, +1 Button Updates and Colorado State Government Switches To Google Apps.

Mohamed Mansour Bio:

Software Engineer graduating in 2008. He currently works at Research In Motion. In his free time, he works in a lot of open source projects. Recently, he has been focusing on HTML5 technology and User Experience engineering.

Google re-branded many of their Android apps this week including the Android Market which is now just Google Play.

4. +1 Updates
The +1 button received a UI update. You can also “thank” people via search results for +1ing a link.

5. Colorado now using Google Apps
The state government of Colorado is now using Google Apps. They say it will unite their employees and save a substantial amount of money.

      In the past, we have linked G+ profiles. But I have not kept it up regularly. Maybe an "On this episode" box right below the show description would be good. Any guests or hosts profiles could be linked there.

    Hi Doug.  What timing – We had a system issue yesterday and to rebuild parts of the site and haven't finished with all the component re installations.  Social media should be back up some time today.  Thanks for the comment.
